Leadership Development Program
The Club has a Leadership Development Program, through appointing a Team Captain, and a Junior Team Captain.

Coaches will choose the swimmers, as this is not a popularity contest. Swimmers will take up their posts at the beginning of the Spring session.

The appointments will run until the end of the summer, when we will evaluate its success.

Criteria used for selecting the post are the following:

  • Leadership qualities
  • Excellent work ethic
  • Competes in meets
  • Good attendance record
  • Able to work with coaches and swimmers alike

Responsibilities will include:

  • Leading by example
  • Assisting Coaches
  • Promoting the club through media and marketing
  • Fundraising
  • Helping at swim meets
  • Assisting with working with the younger swimmers
  • Representing the swimmers through giving feedback at regular meetings with the coaches
  • Helping organize set-up and clean-up
  • Mentoring the Junior Captain and other swimmers
  • Representing swimmers at PNS HOD meetings

The first appointed Captians are Kate T. and Kendall D. Congratulations. Coaches look forward to working with you and seeing your positive impact on the team.
