| The Cross Sound Challenge is the Seals' annual fundraiser, and if you ask anyone who participated in it last year - it is a lot of fun too! This year, we plan to go off-island to accommodate the number of swimmers participating, and to hold a family swim after the event.
It is approx. 3.4 miles across The Sound from Vashon to Fauntleroy — that’s 6000 yards or 240 lengths of the South Kitsap Pool (or 300 in the Athletic Club Pool).
Relay Teams will swim for 2 hours on Saturday March 22nd, to see how far ‘across’ The Sound they can get in that time.

All swimmers are expected to participate, from the L1s to the L5s. And the club hope that each swimmer will raise over $100 per family.
Awards will be handed out for the teams who complete the most yards, have the best attitude, work hardest, cheer loudest... Everyone is guarenteed to have fun, and raise valuable funds for the club to purchase new training equipment.
Parents and volunteers are also needed as lap counters for each team to tally the amount of yards swum.
We look forward to celebrating with a big Pizza party at the ROCK after the event!
